NAHARLAGUN, Aug 26: A Naharlagun Police team under the supervision of OC Naharlgun, Inspector Nikom Riba and SDPO Make Bui, apprehended two persons from a Petrol Depot located at Banderdewa while they were trying to sell one pistol(7.65mm, RP-156850) along with six live rounds.
Capital SP M Harsha Vardhan said that police acted on a tip-off that some miscreants are trying to sell a pistol at Kankarnallah, Naharlagun and the police were pursuing them from Kankarnallah and ultimately intercepting them at Banderdewa causing the arrest and seizure.
The pistol and the said six live rounds along with one cartridge was recovered and accordingly seized.
A case vide NLG PS Case No-147/18 u/s 25 (1)(a) Arms Act was registered and both the accused persons are currently in police custody.
