ITANAGAR, May 20: Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan, today flagged-off a road safety awareness rally which was organised by the royal Arunachal riders in collaboration with district administration from Akashdeep to D-sector IG park.
Noting with concern the rising incidents of road accidents and collisions across the State, Dhawan appealed citizens to drive carefully and obey traffic rules.
Exhorting citizens to obey traffic rules and underscoring that ‘life is precious’ the DC said that also distributed pamphlets to create awareness about traffic rules, stickers for motorcycle and four-wheelers.
He further announced that the district administration in collaboration with Police will soon start a concerted drive to check helmets, tripling on bikes, removing tinted glasses from motor vehicles and violating speed limits in the capital complex.
