ITANAGAR, Jun 16: Considering the security issues raised by various departments of State and Central Governments, Banking institutions, PSUs, etc and taking note of the recent attacks by multiple unscrupulous elements, the capital administration has decided to prepare a list of Private Security Personnel drawn from Ex-servicemen of Army and Para-military forces and they will be outsourced to offices willing to hire such personnel and these Private Security Guards shall be selected for deployment through a board of Officers including Police Officers, who shall consider all aspects viz height, health, age, etc and recommendation for deployment. 

Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan, informed that the decision was taken as in view of the need for huge deployments in and around the Capital region, and the shortage in the state’s police force. 

He further informed that the selected Security Guards will have to undergo the minimum training as stipulated under the A.P. Private Security Agency Rules, 2009 and Private Security Agencies Regulation (Act), 2005 respectively. Such training shall be imparted through the Superintendent of Police, Itanagar Capital Complex. The character antecedents of the Private Security applicant shall be obtained first prior to final detailment in the location, he informed.
