ITANAGAR, May 26:The District Magistrate, Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan, hasissued an executive order prohibiting display and sale of meat along the National Highway 415 within the Capital Complex jurisdiction. The DC said that illegal displaying of such meat near National Highway not only creates a bad look but also increases the possibility of contamination due to dust and smoke released by vehicles and consumption of such contaminated food may pose grave danger to human health and hygiene.

The order further directed the EAC-cum-Executive Magistrates of concerned jurisdiction to identify all such meat vendors along the NH415 and initiate necessary action. He further directed the CMEO, IMC to take all steps to relocate all such slaughter housesimmediately.
