ITANAGAR, Jun 24:

After gaining much applause for the first edition of Mr. Arunachal from the masses, Aries Corps is all set to launch both Mr. and Miss Arunachal in August next, with its audition scheduled to be held from August 14 next.

The mega event is being organized under the banner of Aries corps, powered by “Drodel”, in association with “ApaNTos” as a part of its effort to empower young talents to make a difference in society.

Announcing the launch of the event in a press conference held this afternoon at press club, Chief Advisor, Organizing committee, Taba Dodum said the main objective behind organizing the event is to hunt for a role model and young ambassador among the youth of the state, who “thinks globally and acts locally”, advocating a healthy lifestyle and a drug free society.

He informed that during the event the participating models will be given a chance to be groomed by renowned grooming gurus of the country and the winner will be given a chance to represent Arunachal not only in big fashion platforms in the Northeast, but in national and international levels also.

Disclosing the motive behind organizing Miss Arunachal alongside Mr. Arunachal in the same event, Dodum said that the organizing committee decided to conduct both titles in the same event following strong feedback and continuous demand from the public.

“Our state is an isolated state in the map of country, where opportunities are few and limited for the aspirants and we know that there are so many talents in our state, but there is little exposure and lack of recreational facilities”, he said adding that with the event they are trying to bridge the gap.
