Awareness camp on social evils held

AALO, Jul 29: A day long awareness campaign on various prevailing social drawbacks and vices was organized by Mother's Vision NGO at Ruyi village under Kamba Circle on Saturdaylast.

Addressing the gathering, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kamba, Tamo Koyu, stressed on the need to organize more such awareness campaigns on cleanliness, use of drugs and alcoholism among the younger generation.

The chairperson, Mother’s Vision, Jumde Yomgam Gamlin spelt out the activities of the NGO such as creating awareness on drug and counseling in the rehabilitation camp at Aalo. She also disclosed that vigorous awareness campaigns will be launched in various schools of the district and sought cooperation from all sections to make it a success.

Among others, Principal, Donyi Polo College Kamki, Dr. Rejir Karlo, the resource persons Kennedy Bagra, representative from UD& Housing, Gumli Bagra, GBs and others also joined the campaign.
