AALO, Apr 30: One day workshop on Domestic Violence 2005 and Sexual Harassment at work places was conducted by APWWS West Siang Unit in collaboration with ICDS department on April 28 last. More than fifty enthusiastic women attended the camp.

The Deputy Director ICDS gave detail briefings on the aim and objectives of the meeting and urged all womenfolk to know their right and duties. The Resource Person, Advocate Binge Nomuk dwelt at length on legal aspects of filing domestic violence cases before the magistrate with the assistance of Service Providers and Protection Officer. He also highlighted the need to file complaints before the Local Complaint Committee on sexual harassment at work places.
Marbom Riba, President and Hoksum Ori, Secretary APWWS Aalo unit also gave detailed deliberations on domestic violence, sexual harassments and action taken by the women wing in the past and extended their gratitude to ICDS department for facilitating the workshop for the larger interest of the womenfolk of the district.
