ATA set to observe Teachers Day
AALO, Aug 29: School teachers of West Siang are all set to observe Teachers’ Day under the banner of Arunachal Teachers Association, West Siang to commemorate the 130th birth anniversary of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishna at Gumin Kiin on Sebtember 5.
The district unit ATA president and its publicity secretary Lido Ragyor disclosed that efforts will be made to felicitate the retired teachers of the district who have immensely contributed to the growth of education in the district besides key discussion on problems, ways, and means to boost the morale of teaching community of the district in delivering quality education to the school children of the district.
Earlier, floral tributes were paid to the portrait of late Major Dhyan Chand who brought laurel to India in the field of hockey to win three consecutive Olympic Gold Medals in 1928, 1932 and 1936 in the pre-independence days.
