AAPSU condemns incident, flays government ‘laxity’

ITANAGAR, Dec 8: Condemning the incident in the strongest term, the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) said that such act in border areas will hamper peace and tranquility among the people of both states.

The matter of boundary dispute is in the Supreme Court and such unmindful attitude of the Assam government is provocative and hurting the sentiments of the state, the union said.

General Secretary AAPSU, Tobom Dai while condemning the Arunachal Pradesh government for laxity while dealing with its Assam counterpart said ‘Such atrocities have been carried repeatedly. Similar activity was reported a month ago, however the State government has failed to protect and safeguard the territorial integrity and sentiments of the indigenous people of the state.’

AAPSU delegation led by Vice President (administration) Meje Taku will visit the spot to collect first-hand information, the union informed in a press release.
