The main objective of the programme was to make women aware of their legal rights and to reach out and educate them on various aspects of the law, she said.
“Ending violence against women is everyone’s business. We must give safe space to women to speak and be heard,” said East Siang SP Sumit Kr. Jha while attending the awareness programme as a resource person. He expressed hope that such programmes would help the women to be more aware of the law and their rights and this in turn would serve as a protection against any violation of their rights or abuse and discrimination against them.
