ITANAGAR, Jun 9:The All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union on Friday has sought the intervention of Ministry of Tribal Affairs in facilitating the long pending scholarship to the eligible students and requested the Ministry as well as state government to immediately address the issues immediately in the interest of poor students pursuing their studies outside state.

  Citing inordinate delay in disbursing the scholarship to the eligible candidate has caused acute financial problems to students especially studying outside state , AAPSU said that students from poor family background solely depends on such scholarship money to purchase their basic requirement like study materials and fees etc.

The APPSU also stated taking the issue it has knocked the door of nodal department many a times for early clearance of amount even up to office of IAS Secretary to the government of India, Ministry of tribal Affairs, but still yet to get any concrete results from both.

“The non committal attitude of the ministry despite of so many request and appeal has made the minds of deprived youth agitated and they are taking the path of democratic agitation which may have far reaching ramification in the near future,” said AAPSU while strongly requesting on behalf of eligible students to concern ministry to immediately process the release of scholarship.

Reiterating its demands to the centre to revoke its order of granting citizenship to Chakma –Hajong in the state, the AAPSU said that the decision was taken without consent of indigenous people of the state and cautioned that it will go any extend to safeguard the security and right of people of Arunachal.
