ITANAGAR, Aug 6: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee led by its president Takam Sanjoy deeply mourned the passing away of its former secretary Soni Degio, who at the age of 48 only passed away at his Bhalukpong residence at around 1 am on Sunday due to massive cardiac attack.
Describing him as a dynamic grassroots level leader, Sanjoy recalled that he always remained accessible to the masses on any issue confronting them. In his passing away, Arunachal Pradesh, the Congress party in particular, has lost a gem whose absence will be felt in time to come.
He led the rank and file of the party to convey deep sense of condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
The APCC also deeply mourned the passing away of first governor of the state, Bhishma Narain Singh, who served as head of Arunachal Pradesh from 20.02 to 18.03.1987.
His role as the first governor was pioneering to steer the state and its people on right path, which the people will always remember.
Sanjoy conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for his departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
