ITANAGAR, Aug 28: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) in a release has endorsed the demand placed by All Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union seeking enhancement of wages for working labourers including maternity leave for pregnant women, etc.
Stating that the labour law Act was introduced by UPA government under the leadership of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to protect workers’ rights and well-being, safety, and for workplace diversity, it criticized the state government for not fully implementing the Act here in the state while others are following it.
It asked the state government to address the grievances of workers community immediately saying that they are the backbone of any development.
