ITANAGAR, Aug 24: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC)  has accused the state government of lagging behind in implementing women-related programmes and policies effectively. 
“With the rise of crime against women indicates that safety of girl child and women in the state is in crisis. The government has failed to promote a decent, safe and productive environment for women,” the APCC said in a statement.
 
The APCC release urged the state government to include programmes and policies on women safety and security to promote a society of equals.
