DCM reviews hydropower projects to strengthen state energy roadmap

ITANAGAR, Dec 4: Anti-corruption activist, Anna Hazare will be visiting Arunachal for the first time on December 16 next as part of his endeavour to generate awareness on corruption and other activities.
The Padma Shree awardee is expected to attended series of programmes on his day long visit, wherein he will deliver speech on significance of LokaYukta and Lokpal Bill in the state before flying back to New Delhi on the same day.
This was confirmed by Anna Samarthak Arunachal Pradesh Unit, Chairman, Serpi Flago in a press conference held this afternoon at press club.
Interacting with press reporters, Flago disclosed that Hazare is visiting the state to generate awareness among the masses about his crusade against corruption and raise opinion over the Centre and state government’s apathy towards non- implementation of Lokyukta Bill and Lokpal Bil along with other pending issues.
Flago claimed that Hazare is very disappointed with the Centre for not implementing full-fledged anti corruption laws despite several protests and hunger strikes since last many years.
“To mount more pressure, he is now touring various states and preparing for larger countrywide movement for the rights of farmers, reformation in election procedure etc. And his visit to Arunachal is part of this movement,” added Flago.
Further the Anna Samarthak Arunachal Pradesh Unit has also requested the state government to arrange chopper service for Hazare and declare him as state guest.
