ITANAGAR, May 30:A district wide mass outreach campaign called ‘Chalein Gaon Ki Aur’ was launched by the District Administration in a bid to assess ground realities as well as to sensitize villagers on welfare schemes of both the central and state government.

Launching the campaign at Anjaw on Friday last, Deputy Commissioner Mamata Riba called upon villagers of the region to avail the benefits of the programme.

Appreciating the contribution of Panchayat Bodies, she also requested the PRIs members to actively participate in the outreach campaign as partners of development.

Under the initiative, all the villages of the district will be sensitized by concern officer on Swacch Bharat Mission, Direct Benefit Transfer, MGNREGA, , PMAY, IWMP, Digital India Mission, DDU Bunkar Yojna, Aadhar enrollment, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Geo tagging of assets, National Old Age Pension and Gram Sabh, CMs Krishi Rinn Yojna, My Village My Development etc on pilot basis.

Meanwhile spearheading the first phase of the campaign, PD (DRDA) Hawai, Mito Dirchi, accompanied by SHDO Taluk Hai, among others conducted the campaign in villages of eastern most circles of Kibithoo and Walong on the same day of launching of the campaign.
