PASIGHAT/MEBO, May 24:In a bid to preserve and digitalize one of the most valued script and documents related to Donyi Polo religion for posterity, Adviser to Chief Minister cum Local MLA, Lombo Tayeng on Tuesday contributed a sum of Rs 5 lakhs for the noble purpose.
While participating in the first ever block level general meeting cum conference of Donyi Polo Yelam Kebang at Mebo block of East Siang District, Tayeng has called for promotion and preservation of indigenous faith & culture and advised the believers to inculcate peace and harmony with other religions for development of society.
Further Tayeng also handed over a token amount of Rs 2 lakh to the cultural troupes on the day.
