TAWANG, Jun 17:
The Department of Urban Development and Housing, Tawang under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Urban) distributed a total 89 dustbins including green dustbins with wheels and 100 litres buckets today for installation at markets, Tawang Monastery and other prominent places here.
Speaking during the distribution programme, DC Sang Phuntsok, said that Tourism is directly linked to cleanliness and that Tawang should display high standard of hygiene. While requesting everyone to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness, DC said that the district administration would explore the possibility of moving garages located within the Township to suitable locations .Further he cautioned everyone against littering at public places and said that defaulters will be penalised.
