ITANAGAR, Jun 17:

 

A total of 29 meritorious students of Class X and nine from Class XII of the Adi community were felicitated for their achievements in the 2017 CBSE exams in a function organized by the Adi Baane Kebang, Academic Board in a function held today at Itanagar.

Further, Libang Mize and Guining Pertin were felicitated for cracking the JEE Mains entrance exam (IIT), Kuro Borang and Osidi Muang for being the APJEE topper amongst the Adis, Dunya Buni, Late Aning Gao, Gallen Taloh and Ongkin Borang for being Gold Medalist in their respective subjects, and Rajen Pudur, Kuku Panyang, Nayo Apum, David Gao, Odol Pertin and Taja Yaying for securing their PhDs. The 11 candidates from the Adi community who were selected as Assistant Engineers in the last exam conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission were also felicitated in the function.   

 

Attending the function, Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, Chairman, Tajom Taloh called on the academic achievers to continue their performance, achieve success and contribute back to society at large.

While congratulating the students on their success, Kangir Jamoh, President, Adi Baane Kebang assured for all possible measures by the Apex Body in regards to the development of education among the Adi community.

A book ‘APCS Planner - an ideal guide for APPSCCE aspirants’ was released by the senior citizens of the Adi community present in the function.

Former Chief Minister Gegong Apang, senior bureaucrats, senior government officers, academicians, senior citizens and parents of the students also attended the function.
