ITANAGAR, Aug 27: The All Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union (AAPWU) in a representation addressed to the Chief Secretary has reiterated its demand for immediate enhancement of workers wages at Rs 18,000 per month along with the implementation of maternity benefit leave for women workers, etc.
Their other demands include enhancement of normal death benefit from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakhs, full consideration of appointment to the successor on compassionate ground, etc.
It later threatened to launch a statewide phase wise democratic movement in the form of peaceful rallies, pen and tools down strike if their pending demands were not fulfilled within 45 days.
