ITANAGAR, Aug 9:Ahead of the scheduled Cabinet meeting on Friday, the All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union has once again reiterated its earlier memorandum submitted to the state government pertaining to the overall development of education sector in the state and also suggested various points to be taken into consideration by the cabinet.
Opining that Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE)/Principal of colleges are technically not competent and entitled to execute any civil work, the Union stated they be given the responsibility of monitoring only.
It also opposed the engagement of members of the teaching fraternity in different positions and on deputation stating that it is hampering the academic classes in educational institutions are asked that those engaged be immediately sent back to their respective posting places, schools and colleges.
The practice of engaging teaching faculties in Election Enrolment Duty, Census Duty etc should be done away with so that they can concentrate in teaching job, the Union said.
AAPSU further suggested that teachers engaged in SSA and RMSA should also be given the benefit of availing maternity and child care leave at par with other regular teachers.
