ITANAGAR, Jun 2:Four government quarters were destroyed in a devastating fire that broke out at 'P' sector Nirjuli in the wee hours of Friday. The destruction was much more allegedly due to late arrival of the fire tender from Naharlagun fire station.

The incident once again highlighted the need for fire tender at Nirjuli police station to avert any kind of future fire accident within the area.

 In this regard, the Dy. Chief Councillor, IMC, Tarh Nachung  and the Nirjuli market welfare committee has appealed the state government to immediately provide fire tender at police station, Nirjuli, so that quantum of loss can be reduced due to fire accident in near future. --
