ITANAGAR, May 26:  Launching a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA Government on completion of three years, the Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) termed the three years as a total failure and a ‘Jumla’ with unfulfilled dreams and promises.

“The Centre is gearing up to celebrate the occasion across the country in the coming weeks, but here in Arunachal Pradesh  nothing new has been done including other northeastern states,” asserted APYC President  Jikke  Tako  while addressing the media at press club today.

PM Modi is inaugurating all those big projects which were sanctioned during UPA regime, he added while stating that the BJP has lured Congress MLAs, PRI members and even IMC councillors on the pretext of big development packages but almost six months has passed and nothing has been done for the state and its people. ‘Even Chief Minister Pema Khandu has failed to bring any development packages,’ he alleged.

While taking  a jibe on the BJP’s ‘Modi fest’, Vice President APYC , Niglar Veo said that instead of initiating new schemes for the people , state BJP Government has discontinued most advantageous schemes like Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme and Job Mela launched by former Congress CM Nabam Tuki which benefited thousands.

Before coming to power, the BJP manifesto talked of creating two crore jobs every year, but on the ground we now have a ‘pink slip’ situation, he added.

While flaying Modi’s Demonetization, Make in India, Startup India project, Veo opined that no impact has been seen in the country as well as in the state, instead Arunachal is reeling under serious financial crunch.
