ITANAGAR, Jul 31:  A  joint meeting, convened under the aegis of the Apatani Youth Association and attended by  Apatani Students Union, Hija Youth Association, All Bulla Youth association, All Hong Youth Association (AHYA),  has denounced the proposed 12- hour Ziro bandh called by All Ziro Hapoli Youth Association on  August 2 against non- fulfillment of their three-point charter of  demands.

During the meeting, members observed that the demands made by All Ziro Hapoli Youth Association were against public interest and not genuine enough for declaring a bandh.  Further, the meeting also reiterated its demands for construction of Police Beat post at Medical Colony, immediate eviction of illegal structures erected on footpaths, proper electrification of all surrounding areas connecting the district headquarters Ziro, etc.
