Yupia, Jun 8: A meeting was convened with all elected Zilla Parishad Members under the chairmanship of Papum Pare Zilla Parishad Chairperson Chukhu Bablu  today to discuss about cancellation of untied grants approved in the last District Planning Committee meeting under e-Gram Swaraj 2021-22 for Papum Pare District.
While addressing his fellow members, the ZPC briefly highlighted the objective of the meeting and informed that keeping in view the untold miseries of people during the COVID-19 pandemic and other natural calamities in the district, the proposal for diversion of untied fund approved in last DPC was taken up to utilize the fund for immediate relief works for welfare of people at grassroot level. He added that it was necessary to take approval from all members before placing it to the higher authority for approval.
He also thanked all the members for their support and co-operation and urged upon them to maintain such team spirit in days to come to work for the greater benefit of people of Papum Pare district.  
Meanwhile, all 11 Zilla Parishad Members present on the occasion also shared their views  and unanimously expressed their solidarity to move forward with the proposal.
