PASIGHAT, Apr 30: ZPC Olen Rome accompanied by the ZPMs of East Siang today visited the Covid facilities, set up by the Ruksin administration and held thorough discussion with the ADC Ruksin on preparedness to tackle Covid-19. ADC Tajing Jonnom briefed the visiting team about all ongoing arrangements and also threw light on security arrangements being taken up by police. He informed that all essential support were being provided to the people by the government.
The visiting ZPC appreciated the tireless efforts and dedication of the administration and all frontline workers including police personnel. Rome said that the state government is taking adequate measures to contain the virus, and urged the people not to panic but to report to the nearest health centre for any doubt or symptoms. Stating that transport sector is highly vulnerable to outbreak of the disease, the ZPC asked the official teams comprising doctors and police on duty to ensure strict surveillance, monitoring and screening of passengers at the entry-gate and advised the citizens to maintain social distancing avoiding gatherings and to follow SOPs issued by the government. Rome on behalf of ZPMs of East Siang handed-over 100 boxes mineral water, 1000 face masks, 3 cartons big size sanitizer and 5 pedestal fans to the ADC meant for the FLWs and assured all support and cooperation.
