YUPIA, Sep 14: Reacting to reports over mismanagement of funds meant for Panchayati Raj institution, today Chukhu Bablu,  Zilla Parishad Chairperson, Papumpare District claimed that all the funds under 14th & 15th Finance Commission of Papumpare are still available and has not been used yet.
Speaking to the media,  the ZPC said that all the reports against the state government regarding mismanagement of panchayat funds are false as the funds under 14th & 15 Finance Commission are still available. Most of the programmes like Jal Jeevan Mission is yet to be started in Papumpare panchayat jurisdiction, he said.
He also claimed that, during COVID-19 they received face masks and sanitizers from the state government and it was also distributed in the district. He also informed that the district has also received seeds under Kitchen Garden scheme through Block Development Officer from the state government which was distributed to the people.   
“I can assure that funds meant for various projects under Papumpare  Panchayat have not been misused, rather it is safe and available with the concerned authority. We are making programs and schemes as per need base and accordingly the funds will be utilized," the ZPC said.
