TEZU, Jul 26: The Zonal Hospital, Tezu was sanitised today and will also remain closed on Monday for conducting disinfection drive of its premises.
This comes after a patient who was briefly admitted to the hospital tested positive for Covid-19.
"A patient with acute abdominal pain from Anjaw district was admitted to the hospital on July 23 but was immediately referred to Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh where after his COVID test was found positive," informed Medical Superintendent Dr C Tayang.
Following this development, the MS swung into action and traced out 30 persons including doctors, nurses, paramedics and patient’s attendant that were in close contact with the patient.
“All have been identified and are in home quarantine; tomorrow they will be kept in institutional quarantine for their COVID test," he informed.
