Ziro, Oct 29: The fourth Ziro Planning Authority meeting to review and finalise the draft master plan of Ziro-2030 was held under the chairmanship of DC In-charge,Lower Subansiri, Millo Kojin at Hapoli today.
Attending the meeting, Tage Taki, Minister Agriculture, Horticulture etc, advised the department to incorporate the plans for water conservation and the World Heritage site conservation,
He further suggested for earmarking the agricultural and horticultural zones. Also stressing on the need for a good drainage system, Taki added that the sewerage networks and its treatment plants should be given top priority.
In order to promote tourism in the area, he also advised for developing a transport plan by incorporating monorail around the valley and cable car along the mid of the town. Senior Town Planner, Likha Suraj made a detailed presentation on the proposed Masterplan for Ziro.
Consultant from All India Institute of Local Self Government, Paritosh Goyal and the Director of the Department Sukhwinder Singh advised on the importance of Master plan in order to regulate the growth and development of the town in a proper way. They also informed that such vision document would be of great help to the administration for policy making and decision making.
Millo Kojin, DC in-charge advised all the stakeholder departments to furnish their data inputs within 15 days to the department. Representatives from RWD, PHED, Electrical,PWD,Urban Development, CRP and research department attended the meeting. DIPRO
