ITANAGAR, July 9: The youth body of Jullang area on Saturday carried out awareness and plantation drive in various part of Jollang panchayat in capital complex. 
The Jollang gram panchayat chairperson Tana Taha Tara motivated the youths and asked them to create awareness on several important issues being faced by the general public of the area in particular and capital complex in general. There are several important issue like plantation activities, eviction of domestic animals from the streets and institutional campus, he said.
Nowadays the most important issue is disposal of garbage properly and therefore everyone has to extend helping hand and cooperate with the garbage managing committee so that garbage is disposed-off properly and timely, he said.
The GPC appealed to the authority of educational and other institutions of the area which include Don Bosco college, Don Bosco School, Himalayan University, HIM international school, Central Jail authority and others to organize plantation activities so that the young generation carries forward such good work.
More than 100 saplings were planted during the programme organised by the Jollang panchayat in collaboration with Jully valley youth welfare association.
