Yingkiong, Aug 24: Complying with the direction from the Central government under Swachh Bharat Mission, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman DUDA, Upper Siang district Taper Pada has declared Yingkiong township as ‘Open Defecation free’.
The self-declaration was made after re-assessment of the required criteria as per instructions of the QCI. The DC has also issued an order containing penalty provisions for violators of open defecation in open/public places within the township. 
The penalty amounts will be-Rs 100 for spitting and littering, Rs 200 for open urination and Rs 500 for open defecation. DIPRO
