ITANAGAR, Dec 2: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have extended their greetings to the differently-abled people of the state and other parts of the country and the world on the occasion of the International Day of People with Disability, also known as World Disability Day.
Governor expressed hope that celebration of the Day will create awareness for the cause of the differently-abled for promoting their dignity, safety, security, rights and equal opportunities for progress. In his message, Governor said that humane attitudes play an important role in promoting the 'Divyang' people in social and economic lives and called upon every section of the society to do their bit in securing their proper rehabilitation and give them encouragement to be performers.
Chief Minister while extending his greetings underscored the need of involvement of individuals and organizations who can break the barriers, both structural and attitudinal for the benefit of people with disabilities. PRO Raj Bhavan, CMO
