PASIGHAT, Dec 1: World AIDS Day was observed here at the Bakin Pertin General Hospital campus today with a clarion call to keep on the fight against the deadly disease. In-charge of JDHS Dr. YR Darang, District AIDS Control Officer Dr. Taken Siram, ANMs, GNMs, tutors, staff and health assistants actively participated in the event. Reminding all the reality that the disease has no cure so far with prevention the only option, Dr. Darang reiterated the need for people’s cooperation and compassion to the infected persons. Dr. Siram while throwing light on the AIDS control measures in the district informed that both government and numerous social welfare organizations are constantly pursuing the awareness initiatives.
