Naharlagun, Oct 23: The Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Naharlagun, conducted a one day workshop on the Training of Trainers (ToT) for Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) members and functionaries on the prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The programme was organised at the request of the Department of Women and Child Development, as part of their initiative to strengthen the capacity of ICC Members in addressing workplace sexual harassment issues effectively. Bahi Koyu, CDPO cum Nodal officer for the ICC matters, briefed the participants about the schedule and highlighted the objectives of the workshop.
Pate Marik, Director (Training), ATI, inaugurated the workshop and emphasized the need to foster safe and inclusive workplaces through awareness and proper implementation of the Act.
The technical session was conducted by Adv. Mating Yaram from the Gauhati High Court, Itanagar Permanent Bench, who provided insights into the provisions, procedures, and practical challenges of the POSH Act. A Total of 27 participants from various departments attended the programmes, which also included interactive discussions and experience sharing with participants from various departments. The workshop concluded with a valedictory session and distribution of certificates. The programme was coordinated by Smty. Chenga Lhamu, (LA) ATI.
