JAIRAMPUR, Dec 24: In a significant development, the construction of the long pending Trans Arunachal Highway from  Lalpur -Manmao to Changlang resumed today. This was informed by the local MLA cum Advisor Department of Tourism, IPR & Printing, Laisam Simai.
Elaborating on the project, Simai said "The project was halted due to some technical reason; however the 68km long road project has been started now. The Bharatiya Infra Pvt ltd( BIPL) has been awarded the tender and work is already underway."
When asked about the dateline of the project,  Simai informed that as per the MoU, the 68 km road portion of Trans Arunachal Highway  has to be completed by 2023. 
People of the area had to face many unspeakable problems due to the dilapidated road condition, but I take this opportunity to thank the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and the concerned department  for extending all possible help  in  sanctioning the project on time, the MLA said.
Further, he appealed to the locals to cooperate with the authority to complete the project on time.
"We have faced many problems due to the dilapidated road condition; now the time is here to support each other and complete the project without any hindrances," Simai said.
