PASIGHAT, Feb 27:  A one-day awareness and  skilling programme on cultivation of mushroom and king chilly, pickle making, pot flower growing and poultry farming for the women Self Help Groups (SHGs) was organised today in Ngopok village under Mebo Sub-division of East Siang district. 
The programme was organised by DDSE, East Siang in collaboration with College of Horticulture & Forestry (CHF), Pasighat. Resource Persons from CHF, Pasighat gave the training and its Dean, Dr. B.N. Hazarika delivered a lecture on ‘Prospects of Horticulture in Livelihood Security’. Chief Guest, DC Dr. Kinny Singh while urging the SHG members to take up the aforesaid income generating avenues informed that a loan mela will be organised shortly by Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank (APRB) for helping the SHGs to avail loans, reiterating along with that the District Administration will always provide the necessary support. DDSE, Jongge Yirang highlighted the objectives of the awareness training.
