ITANAGAR, Jun 30: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), Itanagar appreciated the Superintendent of Police, Itanagar Capital Complex and his team for nabbing the alleged accused of a rape case of 2020. The APSCW has requested the Police to file early charge sheet so that justice is served to the victim and her family.
The Commission time and again requests the state government to emphasis on creating awareness to the general public especially the young girls on crimes against women and girl child. Due to lack of awareness on crimes like domestic violence, cyber crime, trafficking and others, the young girls are being taken advantage and become victims, it said. Further, the APSCW requested the general public to be vigilant and co-ordinate with the law enforcing agency to prevent unfortunate events towards women and girl child in society.
