BALEMU, Apr 27: In an unfortunate road accident, four people including two minors lost their lives while on their way to Tawang  today near Angkali and Balemu in West Kameng district.
The incident occurred, between Angkali and Balemu on the Orang-Kalaktang-Shergaon-Rupa-Tenga road in West Kameng district when the four including two minors traveling in their car met with an accident, informed Officer-in-charge of Kalaktang police station Inspector Tsering Dorjee. The three males and one female succumbed to their injuries on the spot, added the officer.
The deceased were identified as Sunita Tomden, wife of late Dr Tomden, working in the Electrical Department of Tawang, her two minor sons, while the person behind the steering has been identified as Jambey Dondup.
The vehicle fell into a deep gorge nearly 100 metres off the road near Shiv Mandir at 900 Chain. On receiving information from witnesses, both police and Quick Reaction Team (QRT) of 61 Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal(SSB) stationed at 900 Chain rushed to the spot for the rescue operation. All four bodies have retrieved by the forces.
