ITANAGAR, Oct 26: With two more deaths on Monday, the state’s Covid-19 casualty tally has risen to 35 with the ICR the highest contributor with 16.
According to the Covid bulletin, among the two deaths was a 35-year old female hailing from Sagalee in Papum Pare district who expired at DCH Chimpu. She was suffering from the comorbidities of rheumatic heart disease and mitral stenosis along with Covid infection and was admitted to DCH Chimpu on October 23 last after being referred to by the capital’s RKM Hospital.
In the other case, a 55-year old male hailing from Gensi Colony in Daporijo in Upper Subansiri district died on the way to DCH Chimpu after his condition worsened and was referred by DCHC Daporijo. According to the bulletin, the cause of death has been recorded as respiratory failure.
In terms of daily additions, a total of 147 new cases have been detected in the state on Monday of which 115 are asymptomatic and 32 symptomatic. The ICC continues to be the steady contributor with 56 of the total. Meanwhile, 231 recoveries across the state have been recorded on the day with the ICR having 47 of the total.
As on Monday, there are 2174 active Covid-19 cases in the state and 12182 have already been discharged after recovering.
