YINGKIONG, Oct 9: An awareness camp was organized at Ramsing village by the Ramsing Wildlife Range, where people were made aware of the importance of wildlife protection.
Divisional Forest Officer, Dhawan Kumar Rawat, IFS emphasized on the role of the locals while raising awareness about the Mouling National Park. He also said that Ramsing is on the major tourist circuit which needs to be harnessed for income generation of the village through eco-tourism activities like home-stay, nature trail, handicrafts etc. The programme ended with the showcasing of a list of the scheduled animals and a display of butterflies from the Ramsing Range by RFO Rupir Boli.
The programme concluded with a nature walk of 1 km to the Dobung Dinggo (waterfall). DIPRO
