Aalo, Jan 9: MLA Aalo East Kento Jini on Friday inaugurated a fish/meat market shed constructed by the UD and Housing Department at Puse near Puakgumin which will accommodate the existing meat/fish market located in the heart of Aalo township.
Inaugurating the much-needed shed which has been constructed on the land acquired on lease, the MLA hailed it as a step towards beautification of the township and said similar measures will be taken in future. He also asked the UD and Housing Department to construct amenities like stores, toilets, dumping sites for disposal of animal waste and create parking places for vendors and customers in the township. West Siang Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi while stressing on maintaining utmost cleanliness and hygiene in the market shed urged all vendors to shift their meat/fish counters at the new location.
Executive Engineer, UD and Housing Hali Welly and AE Nyatum Bagra urged the vendors to shift their counters voluntarily. Heads of Offices, members of the Aalo Town Peoples’ Welfare & Development Society (ATPWDS) and common people were present during the inauguration event. DIPRO
