AALO, Apr 19: Keeping in view of alarming rise of Covid cases across the state in the pandemic's second phase, West Siang District Administration has decided to implement the revised SOPs issued by state government in toto.
It has been decided that besides the departments of police, medical and disaster management, district’s NGOs will also be involved in the fightback. 
The entry gate has been made operational and people entering the district will have to produce Covid-19 test certificates or go directly to General Hospital, Aalo for required tests and those found positive will have to undergo strict home quarantine. Wearing face masks in public places have been made mandatory and its violation will attract Rs 500 as penalty. The IPR department has already started disseminating awareness on SOPs through PA system before launching action against defaulters. 
All big public gatherings, meetings and parties have been banned and prior permission has to be obtained from the DA for organising them. Furthermore, people moving out of the district have to intimate the DA and the medical department and all sectors and market committees have been alerted to identify individuals coming into the district from Covid-19 affected areas. 
Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi has appealed to all citizens of the district to maintain the SOPs strictly. DIPRO
