AALO, Sep 26: The Arunachal Teachers Association organized a felicitation function to honour teachers of West Siang district who were conferred the National and State Awards for their meritorious services in the field of education at Gumin Kiin on Saturday.
National awardee Duda Sora and State Awardees Kokir Jini, M.M. Nayak , Mijum Kamduk, Tarheshwar Pandey, Gumjum Ete, Linya Boje were felicitated on the occasion.
Attending the function as the Chief Guest, Deputy Director of School Education,
Duken Kato urged the teaching community to work as a team with sheer dedication, punctuality and commitment in shaping the destinies of the future generation and  maintain the past glory of academic excellence in the district.
Retired teacher Degam Ete, said that the National and State Level Awards should
motivate the teachers to work dedicatedly for the cause of education in the district and exhorted them to be role models in society.
The Principals, Headmasters, BEOs, BRCs, Teachers In-Charges of various schools of the town also attended the function as Special Invitees and gave their useful suggestions for the growth and development of education in the district.
