AALO, Feb 15: MLA Aalo East Advocate Kento Jini today inaugurated the West Siang branch of All Arunachal Pradesh Hapkido Association here.
The MLA while highlighting the role of games and sports for physical fitness and employment opportunities urged the association to spot talented sportspersons and assured to extend all-possible help from his side for promotion of the martial art in the district. 
West Siang Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi exhorted all budding sportspersons to take keen interest in games and sports. Retired Director Nyabin Ete disclosed that the Hapkido Association having its headquarters in Mumbai has appointed him as the President and Dharmendra Rauth as the Secretary.
Hapkido is a mixed martial art with its origin in South Korea and is an Olympic event. It has been introduced in the Northeast for the first time, Ete disclosed. DIPRO
