AALO, Mar 13: In a significant breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking, the Aalo Police Station team, under the leadership of SI Likha John and supported by ADS West Siang Police, has seized approximately 120 grams of suspected heroin. The contraband was found concealed in 10 soap cases and three tobacco containers.
The operation, carried out on March 13, was a crucial development in Aalo PS Case No. 16/25, registered on March 10, 2025. The police team, led by SI Manthan Chithan along with Constables Mikjum Dini and Chau Lihita Khen, was further assisted by SI Lakhi Mena, the Officer-in-Charge of Aalo Police Station.
During sustained interrogation, the accused, Jomdar Ado, disclosed the location where the suspected heroin was hidden. The accused led them to the site, where the concealed contraband was recovered.
The estimated market value of the seized drugs is approximately ₹6 lakh, dealing a severe blow to the drug network in West Siang district. The operation falls under Operation Dawn 2.0, a state-wide anti-drug initiative launched under the leadership of Arunachal Pradesh DGP.
