BOMDILA, Jul 21: A meeting of the district administration with all the six CBOs of the district, West Kameng Indigenous People’s Society (WKIPS), All West Kameng Students Union and HODs was held today at Bomdila to discuss and confirm to the new government notification regarding the revised discharge policy and new SOP for Rapid Antigen Test for returnees, essential workers, Para-military forces, NDRF, BRO, laborers and truck drivers for containment of COVID-19.
Also, medical sources informed of the TrueNat being made operational in the District Hospital, Bomdila.
Appealing the CBOs for their unconditional support and co-operation in the fight against the pandemic, Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki opined that a concerted effort by all the stakeholders would go a long way in containing the pandemic in the district.
He also asked the outpost administrative officers to be pro-actively involved with IEC activities to do away with social stigma and panic situations in their respective circles.
Plantation for afforestation and muck dumping by BRO and other agencies during construction of roads in the district were other issues taken up by the Deputy Commissioner.
DMO Dr. D Wange dealt at length on the revised discharge policy and SOPs for returnees and persons entering the state, essential workers, Para-military, NDRF, BRO, GREF, private and government labors, on the roles and responsibilities of Project agencies, contractors, of the District administration and the health team, quarantine procedures followed by Rapid Antigen Test and also on the SOPs for truck drivers and Cleaners.
On the issues of limited resources and manpower, Superintendent of Police R Banthia appealed all the stakeholders to work unitedly in order to tide over the crisis in spite of constraints.
All the CBOs, the WKIPS and the AWKSU pledging their allegiance to the district administration assured to work together effectively against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. DIPRO
