TAWANG, Feb 8: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday inaugurated the “Weekly Market” at Woogpa-Latse here in presence of Advisor to RWD Minister Jambey Tashi. 
The weekly market to be opened every Sunday will provide a venue to the local farmers, artisans, craftsmen and traders to sell their local products and farm produce, said the CM in his address. 
He said the market is also an encouragement towards local people to boost their income and attain self-reliance. 
The CM also said the weekly market will benefit the farmers and help in revival of traditional crops and promised to fund the construction of a market shed.
More than 50 farmers, craftsmen and artisans had their stalls opened including stalls from APMC and department of textiles & handicrafts.
