PASIGHAT, Feb 10: Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Pasighat today organised a webinar on the role of Ayurveda in prevention of Covid-19.
Joining the webinar as a Resource Person, Medical Officer, North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine (NEIFM), Pasighat Dr. Imlikumba explained the role of Ayurveda in boosting immunity. Elaborating on ‘Dinacharya’ which is an ideal routine for taking daily meals, he provided various Ayurveda tips to improve immunity. Green leafy vegetables, mushrooms, dry pumpkin seeds, beetroots, ginger juice, garlic, tulsi leaves etc. that are  easily available are the effective immunity boosters, he added while advising to consult doctors in case of  cough and cold followed by self-isolation. Director, ROB, Itanagar Dr. H.R. Keshavamurthy while underscoring the importance of immunity amid the Covid-19 context and the positive role of Ayurveda in this regard, urged the FOB staff to educate common people on it during field campaigns.
