YACHULI, Jul 14: The 2-day webinar titled ‘Reshaping Education during Pandemic’ organised by Government College Yachuli in collaboration with University of Delhi affiliated Hansraj College concluded today here at the college.
Faculties, researchers, students and other interested individuals from across the country and overseas participated in the webinar which highlighted the problems faced by teaching and student communities during the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic and the measures needed to resolve them. Distinguished academicians like Principal, Hansraj College Professor Rama Devi, Professor Prakash Singh from the Department of Political Science, University of Delhi, Vice Chancellor, Sambalpur University Professor Sanjeev Mittal, Associate Professor Dr. Anga Padu and Professor Boa Reena Tok from Rajiv Gandhi University were the seminar’s Resource Persons. While highlighting the extensive harm caused to the country’s education sector, particularly on the qualitative aspect by the pandemic, the speakers exhorted the teachers to adopt various e-platforms in the teaching-learning process. To deal with the difficulties relating to supply of uninterrupted electricity, internet, availability of technical devices like smartphones, laptops etc., students from underprivileged backgrounds should be taken extra care, the speakers opined.
This webinar was organised as part of the Vidya Vistar Scheme of the Central government which envisages imparting quality education through collaboration between a mentor college and its mentee counterpart.
