 TEZU, Apr 6: Altogether 116 weavers of Tezu were provided with free improved loom, accessories, yarns etc sponsored under Chief Minister’s Indigenous Textile Promotion Scheme (CMITPS) by the Department of Textile & Handicrafts, Tezu, Lohit District on Wednesday last.

Distributing the tools to weavers in programme organised by the department, Minister for Animal Husbandry & Vety., Diary development, Mahesh Chai urged them to utilize the tools to promote and popularise the use of traditional dresses among the community.

DC Lohit suggested SHG to provide a platform for the beneficiaries of the village to expose their finished products to other states.
